GENERAL EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION
Vista Irrigation District provides excellent benefits including
health (PacifiCare), dental and vision insurance (paid by
the district for employees and their families), PERS retirement
(3% @ 60 effective January 2004), life and long-term disability
insurance and a deferred compensation match program. Employees
receive 13 paid holidays annually and earn fifteen days of vacation
during their first year of service.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
Vista Irrigation District requires all applicants to complete
a district employment application with an original signature, with exception to electronically submitted
applications which are signed during the interview process. Unless otherwise specified in the job
announcement, a resume may not be submitted in lieu of the district's employment application package.
The recruitment selection process will take approximately 30-90 days. Persons selected for employment
will be subject to a background investigation and drug testing. He/she will also be required to present
documents establishing personal identity and the legal right to work in the United States. For additional
